This is a preview of my Army. I know it's mostly not painted but I have a reason. I was on a Coast Guard Cutter for the past 3 years so I didn't have much time to paint or the space while I was underway. I will paint these guys now that I'm on land and have the time to do it, and I'll even post my progress. Without further adieu!
It was mostly based on Webway Portal. That explains the lack of Raiders and Venoms.
1 sqaud of 15 Hellions
2 squads of 6 Reaver Jetbikes
2 squads of 10 Wyches
1 squad of Hekatrix Bloodbrides
1 squad of 5 Kabalite Warriors
2 squads of 4 Kabalite Trueborn (Blasterborn)
1 Duke Sliscus the Serpent (Dutchess)
1 Baron Sathonyx (Baroness)
1 Urien Rakarth (used as a Haemonculus)
1 Haemonculus
Well this is my army. I didn't really show a close up for the Haemies cause they are Games-Workshop models unpainted. So far my Favorite model is the Baroness just cause of the extreme kit bashing that uses almost the whole Dark Eldar kits. I'm thinking about using a airbrush for most of my basing and priming. If anyone has any suggestions on what brush and compressor to get please leave a comment. Also techniques that works for you. Thanks.
Be nice to watch the progress of this army as it gets painted. Painting an entire army is no small task, good luck.
ReplyDeleteGet your rule book already so I can look forward to some battle reports as well.
Tell me about it. I placed the order 1 week before the release. I keep making lists not know what's good anymore just because I don't know the rules.
ReplyDeleteAwesomepaintjob.com. I watch his videos regularly on YouTube. I recommend watching that. He has one of airbrushes
ReplyDeleteOh and a few DE schemes. Perhaps you could get some inspiration.
ReplyDeleteNice advice, I'll subscribe to his channel.
DeleteNice blog, got your blog from the blog role at faeits blog. I too have a DE army, still in boxes thou, along with Tau,Orks, and my flesh tearer space marines. Bought my DE around a wych cult theme with hamachulus support units. Keep up the good work nice blog
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words. I hope that blog can help your experience with DE be a great one. You just need to get them out of the box first.
DeleteThey are inline to be done after I finish my flesh tearers(which are almost done) then my Tau which are built and primed. Then it's DE thing is it takes me awhile to figure out a paint scheme I like, don't like starting an army without a plan for paint in place. Check out my Blog at miniaturemadnesss.blogspot.com mostly flesh tearer stuff now but tau and DE and orks will get some love there soon.
